We are looking for a qualified Construction Foreman working in Golden, BC! Your job will entail working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional infrastructure and products. Cox and Blain Builders has more than a decade of combined years of experience in the home construction industry. All our tradesmen are highly experienced and professional.

The Construction Foreman will be responsible for the supervision of construction activities on site while ensuring high standards and quality work while following and ensuring all health and safety standards are followed. Your week will consist of 40 hours, full time. The successful applicant should be hardworking, reliable and have good communication and organization skills. You must have completed an apprenticeship in carpentry or have equivalent experience in the field.

The goal is to contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting buildings and products. Pay rate may depend on level of experience and education. However, Cox and Blain offers competitive wages.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in wood frame, residential construction

• Demonstrated knowledge of all building techniques, building codes, and safety regulations associated with the construction of single-family dwellings and high density residential structures

• Proven leadership qualities to manage and lead a construction team effectively, efficiently and safely

• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural schematics

• Willingness to follow and enforce safety guidelines at all times

• Good physical condition and endurance

• Demonstrated ability in decision making and taking ownership of actions

• Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is recommended but not required depending on depth of experience

The ideal candidate will also have good working knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential. Your week will consist of 40 hours, full time. The successful applicant should be hardworking, reliable and have good communication and organization skills. You must have completed an apprenticeship in carpentry or have equivalent experience in the field.

• Good knowledge of English and understanding of basic math

• Good physical condition and endurance

• High school diploma

• Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is recommended but not required depending on depth of experience
